Shrink Fit Holders are precision balanced to 25,000 RPM @G2.5 making them an excellent choice for high speed applications such as when machining with small diameter tools. All Techniks Shrink Fit Holders are manufactured to provide repeatable accuracy of less than 0.0001” runout to maximize tool life and performance. Extended gage lengths are available for long reach applications such as machining on horizontal machining centers. ShrinkFIT holders are also available in our exclusive ShrinkLOCKED configuration to eliminate tool slippage or pullout without needing to modify the tool shank. ShrinkLOCKED shrink fit holders have the bore treated with a special abrasive compound, TTG-594, adding millions of microscopic teeth to the cutting tool connection producing the highest gripping force of any shrink fit tool holder. ShrinkLOCKED is an excellent choice when it is necessary to machine at high material removal rates such as machining titanium or other high temp alloys. For Maximum Gripping Power with Exceptional Concentricity The use of Heat Shrink Tooling allows for greater speeds and feeds, better finishes, increased tool life, and increased productivity due to its High Speed Machining capability and simplicity of use. Simple and fast to use. The total time elapsed to remove one cutting tool and insert another is less than 10 seconds. Constructed with double tempered Tool Steel for exceptional durability and cycle life. No mechanical clamping devices are used. With proper use, toolholder life should exceed that of standard End Mill holders. Chip load distributed evenly along cutting edge of tool which results in longer tool life. Tool is gripped 360°, along the entire length of the bore resulting in an evenly distributed clamping force and increased concentricity. Improved balance design with no moving pieces. Low centrifugal Forces due to low holder mass. Coolant through holders require no special backup screws or seals. The interference fit between the ID of the toolholder and cutting tool shank forms the seal, preventing the coolant from flowing anywhere else except through the cutting tool. Coolant grooves and coolant porting also available. Technical Specifications: Standard holders have 4.5° angle nose for compatibility with most heat shrink machines.
