Operating Control Panel
All controls are centrally located in a control panel at the infeed of the machine. The control settings include glue temperature settings, on/off controls for each working unit, and an emergency stop button.
Edge Feeding Coil
Edge feeding is automatic for coil materials with a thickness of 0.4–3 mm. Strips can be fed individually and equipped with a heated infeed fence that preheats the panel's edge for superior glue absorption for a better bond.
Heavy Duty Chain Feeding
Material is fed using a feed chain with rubber covered chain pads and two rows of top rubber pressure rollers, which are stagger for maximum material hold down during machining operations to result in optimum edge results.
Pre-Milling Unit
(2) diamond milling heads that counter-rotate mill the edge of the panel before applying the edgebanding for precise squareness and optimum edge results. Maximum Removal of 3mm.
Teflon-Coated Glue Pot
The 2.6 lbs (1.2 kg) capacity Teflon-coated glue pot is designed for EVA hotmelt glue. The glue is applied by a roller, and the glue amount is adjustable for optimum coverage.
Guillotine Shear
The guillotine shear can trim coiled material up to 3 mm in thickness. This can be turned off for individual strip feeding.
Pressure Roller
The pressure roller unit consists of one large chrome steel roller and a smaller rubber pressure roller. The pressure rollers ensure the edge is properly adhered to the panel edge the glue bond between the edge. The rollers are adjustable to the edge thickness by referencing from a sample of the edge. This ensures consistent pressure for optimum bonding results.
End Trimming & Radius Trimming Unit
The dual trimming blades are equipped to either flush trim or radius trim the end of the panel making it capable of producing cabinet parts or doors. The radius of the end radius blades is 2mm. The dual trimming feature is activated from the control panel and is pneumatically activated for operator convenience. When applying the end radius the corner of the panel will require some manual trimming to round the edges as required. The high RPM saw blades meet any challenge, regardless of edge type & thickness. The blades trace the leading and tail edge of the panel to ensure the exact precision of end cuts. The sawblade turns at 8800 RPM. (2) Blades are 80mm in diameter.
Flush and Radius Trimming Unit
The top and bottom trimmers are spring-loaded and use a tracing wheel to trace the panel's surface. The result is a consistent trimming of the edge according to the panel surface. The rollers also ensure no marking of the workpiece. The knives are capable of flush and radius scraping with 2mm radius knives as standard. They can be adjusted in and out using mechanical digital readouts for repeatable and accurate positioning. The insert knife cutters turn at 10500 RPM
Radius Scraping Unit
The PVC scraping unit fine-tunes the radius edge and removes knife marks left from the flush trimming unit. It can also remove excess glue.
Buffing Unit
The buffing unit leaves a super finish on ABS and PVC edging and removes any discoloration on the edges, especially when working with dark edge material.
Panel Thickness Setting
Panel thickness adjustment is quick and accurate with mechanical readout.
