Sealed for coolant through applications What Are Reduction Sleeves? Reduction sleeves are designed to allow hydraulic chucks and milling chucks to hold multiple tool diameters. They are sealed for coolant-through cutting tools and can be used in roughing or fine-finishing applications. How Does Reduction Sleeve Work? The reduction sleeve extends the range of large-diameter I.D. holders. During operation, the only thing you need to do is to slide the appropriate sleeve into the tool holder bore. Techniks milling chucks are designed with CoolBLAST coolant grooves in the I.D. bore to direct coolant to the cutting area, to assist with chip evacuation. Techniks reduction sleeves can be used to hold almost any diameter of cutting tool.
